07/29/2024 - I Wanna Be Your Lover - Episode 015

As promised- WAY FASTER episode posts and higher quality recordings! Today's opening set was inspired by my friend Blake- while visiting this weekend, he mentioned his recent love of Chris Cornell's cover of "Nothing Compares 2 U" and suggested the idea of going from Prince to Chris Cornell to RATM. Among other journeys to Iceland, Joshua Tree, and Sam's Town, it became an amazing jumping off point to trace how house, hip hop, post punk, new wave, synth pop, electro, disco, and so much more can be traced to the influence of German "Robot Pop" pioneers, Kraftwerk, and the "Godfather of Disco," Giorgio Moroder. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Bonus Track

Kenny Loggins- Danger Zone - Peak 80's- composed and produced by Giorgio Moroder!
